Toronto Consort 2012 Fundraising Event

The Toronto Consort’s Annual Fundraising Event was a fantastic success! Event guests enjoyed an evening which acknowledged Enoch Turner, one of Toronto’s first brewmasters, at the historic Enoch Turner Schoolhouse, with special early music in praise of food and drink (and of course the food and drink itself).

Thanks to the many generous contributions toward our event, The Toronto Consort raised close to $8,000. These Event proceeds will be used to support the Toronto Consort’s many activities, including recordings, educational projects, and the Toronto concert series.
                                        
The evening was a wonderful success from the social perspective also, with guests meeting, mingling and chatting together and with the Consort artists, as well as having the opportunity to visit the original Enoch Turner Schoolroom. Auction bidding was enthusiastic on the wide variety of attractive packages – with furious bidding battles for some of the most coveted packages. The evening included a short concert performed by The Toronto Consort, delicious hors d’oeuvres from Urban Fare Catering and a wonderful Wine Tasting, hosted by Martine and Toby O’Brien of MCO Wines.
