Aristotle wisely said “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Musical collaborations can attest sublimely to this truth. In our 2019-2020 season, we are thrilled to explore the synergy of musical relationships and connections. Please join us and our exciting troupe of renowned guest performers as we kick off the season exploring the timeless, irresistible traditions of French music, with fiddler and dancer Emilyn Stam, and Schütz’s endearing and gloriously colourful Christmas Story, headed by much-loved English tenor Charles Daniels. In 2020, we welcome the exquisite vocal stylings of guest ensemble Profeti della Quinta as they treat us to the rarely heard music of Salamone Rossi, and the guest artistic direction of Scott Metcalfe as we sail across the English Channel with la contenance angloise, ending with a special season finale, featuring First Nations performers and collaborators Marilyn George and Shirley Hay, that dives into the special relationships among all Earth’s creatures. Come and take part in our fellowship.
