Music from the Viennese court of Emperor Leopold I
February 6 & 7 8 pm
Guest Director, theorbist Lucas Harris, leads the Consort and assembled forces in a lavish concert of music from the Viennese court and chapel of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I. Cornettos, sackbuts, strings, keyboards, and virtuoso singers bring to life this magnificent but rarely-heard music – some of it being played for the first time since the 17th century – including works by Schmelzer, Biber, Bertali and Leopold I himself.
FREE Pre-concert lecture | Guest Speaker Greg Ingles, Music Director, Dark Horse Consort. Held before each concert, on Feb 6 & 7, at 7pm, in the Gymnasium.
